HISTORICAL BACKGROUND
Bell Tech Career Institute, Inc. was established in Fall 2002 with the name, Bell Tech Training School at Houston, Texas, USA. Since its inception, we are committed to offering the best educational services available to the members of the community. All the programs are designed to prepare individuals for the demands of today’s workforce in the healthcare field. Later, with a new name; Bell Tech Career Institute, Inc. (BTCI) and additional new educational programs, we continue to be committed and offer services with the same high standards. Of late, BTCI was accredited by Accrediting Bureau Of Health Education Schools (ABHES) in October 2019.
APPROVAL
The vocational nursing programs, as offered by Bell Tech Career Institute, Inc. (BTCI), are approved and regulated by Texas Workforce Commission (TWC), Career Schools and Colleges, Austin, Texas.
Currently, BTCI offers career training on:
- Nurse Aide (NA)
- Vocational Nursing (VN)
All these programs certainly met the requirements of:
- Accrediting Bureau Of Health Education Schools (ABHES)
- Texas Board of Nursing (BON)
- Texas Workforce Commission (TWC)
- Nurse Aide Training and Competency Evaluation Program (NATCEP) by Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC)
- Texas Veterans Commission (VA) to train Veterans
- Student and Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP) to enroll and train foreign students on M- 1 Visa for the vocational/technical education in USA
Vocational Nursing

Classes are conducted Monday – Friday from 9:00 am – 5:00 pm
- The Vocational Nursing Program is completed in 1 year.
- Student applicant must be 18 years old w/a valid Texas Driver’s License or ID.
- Original Social Security card.
- High school diploma/GED or foreign high school diploma must be certified by the United States
- Application fee of $50 is due (non-refundable).
- Student Applicants should take the HESI Admission Assessment Exam A2 & score 75% or above in each subject.
- The HESI A2 exam is offered at Bell Tech for $100
- Admissions exam must be scheduled and paid in advance.
- Type a well written essay to include:
- Why are you interested in becoming a nurse
- Volunteer work you have done
- What have you been doing in the past 5 years
- What are your goals in the next 5 years
- Three letters of signed recommendations.
- VA Educational Benefits are accepted.

Nurse Aide
Day classes begin soon
Classes are conducted daily, Monday – Friday
From 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
- 4 week course.
- Payment Plans are Available.
- To register, student applicant must present:
- Valid Driver’s License and Social Security Card
- High School Diploma – or a U.S. States equivalency form.
- If this is unavailable, you may take a Scholastic exam
at the school during your first visit.
- If this is unavailable, you may take a Scholastic exam
- Textbook and CPR card included.
- State Certification exam and immunization fees are NOT included.
- Experienced Instructors and Job Placement available.
- Must pass a criminal background check.
Nurse Aides are certified after passing the state exam.
The Training strictly adhere to the curriculum and the time mandated by Texas Department of Aging and Disability Services (DADS).
*Texas Nurse Aide Training programs are required to check both the Employee Misconduct Registry (EMR) and the Nurse Aide Registry (NAR) and to conduct a criminal history background check for all applicants. Applicants found to be listed on the EMR, or who are listed on the NAR in “revoked” status, or who have a criminal history that would bar employment in a DADS-licensed facility or agency are prohibited from enrolling in a nurse aide training program.
** The Nurse Aide program has been placed on probation because it has failed to demonstrate at least 70% in credentialing and placement rate.
