HISTORICAL BACKGROUND

Bell Tech Career Institute, Inc was established in Fall 2002 with the name, Bell Tech Training School. We are committed to offering the best educational services available to all members of the community. Our programs are designed to prepare the individuals for the demands of today’s workforce in the healthcare field. With a new name: Bell Tech Career Institute, Inc., and additional new educational programs, we continue to be committed and offer services with the same high standards.

Vocational Nursing

Classes are conducted Monday – Friday from 9:00 am – 5:00 pm


  • The Vocational Nursing Program is completed in 1 year.
  • Student applicant must be 18 years old w/a valid Texas Driver’s License or ID.
  • Original Social Security card.
  • High school diploma/GED or foreign high school diploma must be certified by the United States
  • Application fee of $50 is due (non-refundable).
  • Student Applicants should take the HESI Admission Assessment Exam A2 Math & English & score 70%.
  • The HESI A2 exam is offered at Bell Tech for $65
  • Admissions exam must be scheduled and paid in advance.
  • Type a well written essay to include:
    • Why are you interested in becoming a nurse
    • Volunteer work you have done
    • What have you been doing in the past 5 years
    • What are your goals in the next 5 years
  • Three letters of signed recommendations.
  • VA Educational Benefits are accepted.

Medical Assistant

The primary objective of the course is to provide the students with the basic knowledge and skills necessary to work successfully at an entry-level position in a medical office, clinic, office, hospital or other health care setting.

Nurse Aide

  • 4 week course.
  • Payment Plans are Available.
  • To register, student applicant must present:
    • Valid Driver’s License and Social Security Card
    • High School Diploma – or a U.S. States equivalency form.
      • If this is unavailable, you may take a Scholastic exam
        at the school during your first visit.
  • Textbook and CPR card included.
  • State Certification exam and immunization fees are NOT included.
  • Experienced Instructors and Job Placement available.
  • Must pass a criminal background check.
Graduates of this program will be able to perform basic first aid, CPR, take vital signs, apply the elements of the basic nutrition in meal planning and follow infection control measures. Additionally, they will be able to apply proper body mechanics in bed making, lifting and turning patients. Graduates of this program may find entry-level employment as a nurse aide with hospitals and nursing homes.

Nurse Aides are certified after passing the state exam.
The Training strictly adhere to the curriculum and the time mandated by Texas Department of Aging and Disability Services (DADS).

*Texas Nurse Aide Training programs are required to check both the Employee Misconduct Registry (EMR) and the Nurse Aide Registry (NAR) and to conduct a criminal history background check for all applicants. Applicants found to be listed on the EMR, or who are listed on the NAR in “revoked” status, or who have a criminal history that would bar employment in a DADS-licensed facility or agency are prohibited from enrolling in a nurse aide training program.

Patient Care Technician

Classes are conducted daily, Monday – Friday
From 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.—25 weeks


  • 25 weeks course.
  • Payment Plan Available.
  • To register, applicant must present:
    • Valid TX Identification and Social Security Card
    • High School Diploma, GED, or an U.S. States equivalency form.
    • Must provide proof of required immunizations
    • Must pass a criminal background check
  • Experienced Instructors and Job Placement available.
  • Program includes CNA, EKG and Phlebotomy.
  • CNA, EKG, and Phlebotomy State certification exams are NOT included
The program is designed to prepare students for employment as entry level advanced cross-trained Patient Care Technicians. Upon successful completion of this program, students may apply to take certification examinations for four health care occupations: Patient Care Technician, EKG Technician, Phlebotomy Technician and Nurse Aide.

The Medication Aide program is designed to teach students the skills and abilities essential to the provision of medication under the supervision of a licensed nurse to patients and residents in hospitals and long term care facilities.
